How to Use Cricfy TV
New to Cricfy TV? Complete beginner's guide covering first launch, navigating the interface, finding matches, selecting streams, and optimiz.
If you have just installed Cricfy TV and are not sure how to get started, this guide walks you through everything from the first launch to watching your first live cricket match. The app is simpler than you might expect, but a few tips will significantly improve your experience from day one.
First Launch
After installation (see our download guide if you have not installed yet), tap the Cricfy TV icon in your app drawer. The first launch may take slightly longer than subsequent opens — typically 5-10 seconds — as the app contacts its server to fetch the current channel database. You may see a brief loading screen with the Cricfy TV logo. This is normal.
Navigating the Interface
The main screen displays available channels organized by sport. Cricket channels dominate the list, especially during tournament seasons. Each channel entry typically shows the broadcaster name (e.g., "Star Sports 1," "PTV Sports," "Fox Cricket"), the match being broadcast, stream quality (SD/HD indicator), and whether it is currently live.
Watching a Live Match
Find Your Match
Scroll through the channel list or use the search function to find the match you want to watch. During active matches, relevant channels appear at the top with "LIVE" indicators.
Select a Stream
Tap any channel to begin streaming. If multiple channels cover the same match, start with the one marked HD or with the highest quality indicator.
Switch If Needed
If the first stream you try is buffering, shows an error, or has poor quality, tap the back button and try a different channel covering the same match. Having multiple options per match is one of the app's strengths.
Go Full Screen
Rotate your phone to landscape orientation for a widescreen viewing experience. The player should automatically adjust. If it does not, look for a fullscreen button in the player controls.
Pro Tips for New Users
Internet speed: You need at least 3 Mbps for standard definition and 8 Mbps for HD. Test your speed at speedtest.net if you are unsure.
Save data: If on mobile data, prefer SD streams. A full T20 match in SD uses roughly 500 MB-1 GB.
Multiple sources: Always try at least 2-3 different channels before concluding that a match is not available. Coverage varies by source.
Cast to TV: If you have a Chromecast or Smart TV with mirroring, you can watch on a big screen. See our Smart TV guide for setup instructions.
